Casio AB-500G Date Bank Watch (Module 386)  23/1/2024 Hello fellow Casio enthusiasts from around the world, I hope you are well. If you have read the post I wrote about watches that I am always searching for, you may know I have had the Casio AB-500 data bank on my want list for many years. There are some examples still around and for sale. However, they are normally very expensive and in very poor condition as you could image a 30 years plus Casio watch would be.  Therefore an AB-500 in excellent condition will command a price tag of around £500.   Is it worth that kind of money, well, it may be worth that to an avid collector and I have witnessed such purchases. However, I could never ever justify spending that much money on any watch.  Anyway, as I was saying I am always looking for rare Casio watches, with the AB-500 near the top of the list. Well, 2 days ago I found one that I could justify spending the money on, but it is in need of a lot of TLC. In this case, I can take a chanc

Casio AQ-305 Ana-Digi Watch (Module 388) Coming Soon 8/5/2023 Hello Casio Watch enthusiasts. I hope you are all well. I have just purchased the watch below from an auction site (about 30 minutes ago).  It should be here later in the week. Module 388 Looking forward to receiving this watch. "Only needs a battery", the advert reads. I've heard that old excuse before, many times. Let's hope it a good example of an AQ-305, with no battery leakage or internal damage. The watch arrived today (16/5/23) and looks in quite good condition. However, looks can be very deceiving as I have learned before at my expense. Also, this watch is more than 25 years old at least, so I am not holding my breath waiting for high expectations. Buying vintage watches comes with a risk you have to accept, if you want to have that watch in your collection. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. With that said, I only paid £17 including delivery for the watch so I thought it was worth the gamble.

Casio Ediface EFV-550P-1AVUEF  (Module Number 5579) 1/1/2024 Hello fellow Casio enthusiasts and Happy New Year. In this post I will be looking at the Casio Ediface EFV-550P that I received as a Christmas present from my family. It is the first Ediface I have ever owned as they are quite expensive to buy. I am very happy with the watch, however I have not worn it yet and I am unsure of some of the functions it has.  As you can see, the watch is very well made, the case and back are both made of steel. This version of the 550P has the rubber strap but I am sure the are other variants of the watch that are fitted with a full metal strap. I myself prefer the rubber strap, but I may change my mind in the future. I am also sure I have seen other variants of this watch with an orange rubber strap, which looked really cool.  The outer bezel, with the numbers printed on does NOT move and is only for display purposes. The watch face has blue and chrome highlights on the the hands and dials whic
