Casio A-210 Data Bank Watch (Module 1637) 3/2/2023 Hello Casio enthusiasts and thanks for joining me! Above is a picture of my well used and beloved Casio A-210. I have owned the watch from brand new and purchased it in early 1999. At 23 years old, it still does what it was designed to do with all those years ago. As you can see it has the blue "Illuminator" back light that still works well and the big "light" button on the front of the watch. The watch has seen some hard times and has the scars to prove, yet it is still fully functional. As well as having a 30 name and number directory, the watch has many other functions that I will fully explain as we move on. As you can see from the above pictures, the LCD display is very clear with no dead segments. This is very important for the various other functions of this great watch. Equipped with a 30 name and number telephone memory (remember this was on the brink of everyone owning a mobile phone, never mind a smart p

Casio MQA-100G  3/2/2023 Hello Casio enthusiasts from around the World. I hope you are all well. The watch above is an old Casio MQA-100G, from the mid to late 1980's. It is identified as an analogue and digital watch. The watch above is the actual watch I bought at auction tonight. I took a gamble on this watch, as it is not running and "only" requires a battery. It should arrive next week. I have hope the watch can be revived, to some of it's former glory and I look forward to working on it. As soon as it arrives, I will update you on the condition of the watch. I am trying to find a new battery to check the function of the watch. The battery arrived shortly after I wrote this post and unfortunately the watch did not work. After closer inspection, I found that the old battery had leaked into the watch causing substantial damage. The leaked acid had travelled quite a distance in the watch destroying various components along the way.  The main PCB (printed circuit bo

2023 Casio Watch Projects Hello fellow Casio watch enthusiasts from around the world. Let me also wish you a belated Happy New Year too.  I hope you are all well.  In 2023, I hope to have many projects to show you and I am always on the hunt for lesser known Casio gems. For me, this is an ongoing project to find many of the used watches that I always wanted growing up as a Casio fan. Many of the watches I am looking for, were far too expensive and out of my reach, and all I could do, was dream. I have, in the last couple of years, managed to purchase some watches I was after. However, the list is long and funds are few, and so the Casio watch hunt is always on. You may also be aware that the price of used and unique Casio watches has risen considerably. This is a good situation for some, and bad for others.  Two further projects I need to complete are my AQ-321 and AQ-340. The AQ-321 (white dial), needs a new strap as a couple of the links are damaged. It also needs another deep clean

Casio AQ-340 (Module 309) 23/1/22 Hello Casio lovers from around the world. I hope you are all well. In this post I will be writing about buying and restoring (to the best of my abilities) the legendary Casio AQ-340 Analogue & Digital watch that were very popular in the mid 1980's. The very first 80's analogue/digital models were enclosed in a full stainless steel case and strap. A very tough watch indeed. However, that model watch was also very expensive. At around £90 in 1985, it wasn't cheap but it wasn't too expensive either considering the functions it was capable of.  There are sadly very few models of that watch have survived to date.  From the research I gathered, Casio rereleased the watch again around 1986-87. This time the case was plastic, covered with a chrome plate. The strap was still made of stainless steel as was the back of the watch.  I have always loved this style watch not only for it's looks, but also for the many functions it has. It is ve
