If you have read the post I wrote about watches that I am always searching for, you may know I have had the Casio AB-500 data bank on my want list for many years. There are some examples still around and for sale. However, they are normally very expensive and in very poor condition as you could image a 30 years plus Casio watch would be.  Therefore an AB-500 in excellent condition will command a price tag of around £500.   Is it worth that kind of money, well, it may be worth that to an avid collector and I have witnessed such purchases. Casio AB-200 Data Bank Watch Battery Change  (Module 321) 9/10/2023  Hello Fellow Casio enthusiasts from around the world.  In this post I am going to be changing the battery in my Casio AB-200 watch. If you have read my previous post on the AB-200, you will realise I had been looking for a good example of this watch for some years. I bought the watch in June 2022 but have no history of the watch, like when the last time the battery was changed. To be honest, I should have changed the battery when I first got the watch as a battery leak can be fatal for any watch. I have never worn the watch as I have a fear of damaging it or losing it as it cannot be replaced easily. The watch is kept in a case and the case is stored in a drawer and I check it quite regularly.  Casio DBC-611G Battery Change  (Module 3228). Hello fellow Casio watch enthusiasts from around the world. I hope you are all well. As the title suggests, I will be replacing the battery in my DBC-611G. I have owned the watch a little over 2 years, and I am more than happy with it.  A couple of weeks ago, I changed the batteries in some of my other watches and noticed that this watches display was starting to dim. I panicked and immediately ordered a battery (£5) and received it quite quickly. I say panic (and I mean panic) as a leaking battery would have destroyed my watch. No if's, not but's, it will destroy a watch. I see way too many examples of vintage watches being destroyed by a leaking batteries. I have seen grown men cry because of their losses and I include myself. Believe me, it is much cheaper to take it to a jeweller and have the battery changed rather than crying over a dead watch that is now scrap.  As I have a small collection of watches, it has been beneficial
