Casio AQ-305 Ana-Digi Watch (Module 388) Coming Soon 8/5/2023 Hello Casio Watch enthusiasts. I hope you are all well. I have just purchased the watch below from an auction site (about 30 minutes ago).  It should be here later in the week. Module 388 Looking forward to receiving this watch. "Only needs a battery", the advert reads. I've heard that old excuse before, many times. Let's hope it a good example of an AQ-305, with no battery leakage or internal damage. The watch arrived today (16/5/23) and looks in quite good condition. However, looks can be very deceiving as I have learned before at my expense. Also, this watch is more than 25 years old at least, so I am not holding my breath waiting for high expectations. Buying vintage watches comes with a risk you have to accept, if you want to have that watch in your collection. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. With that said, I only paid £17 including delivery for the watch so I thought it was worth the gamble.

Casio AQ-450G Ana-Digi Watch (Module 315)  11/5/2023 Updated 10/102023  Hello Casio watch enthusiasts from around the World. I hope you are all well. I have, just won this vintage AQ-450G from auction and is here. It looks awesome and feels substantial on the wrist. The battery is almost flat and the mechanical hands stopped working. I hope this is simply a battery fault.  As I stated, the watch looks in excellent condition for a watch of more than 25 years old. The case, strap, display's and glass have minimal marks of which I am very happy about.   I love the way the strap sweeps up right to the surface face of the watch and the square design buttons that need a good clean.  My only worry is the mechanical workings of the watch and with that in mind, I need to replace the battery as a matter of urgency. As usual, I will remove the strap to expose the watch back clip.  With the strap removed, I quickly removed the back of the watch so I could remove the battery, identify it and o

Casio Ana-Digi AQ-340 Battery Change. 18/2/2023 Hello fellow Casio watch enthusiasts, collectors and anyone else that is interested. As the title suggests, I going to be changing the battery on my 1986 Casio AQ-340 Ana-Digi or can be also known as a combi watch. This means the watch has a traditional handed display and also an LCD display. The LCD normally combines an alarm, stop watch, hourly chime and dual time. These watches were first released back in 1983-84ish and I've loved them ever since. I love them so much, I bought two models. As the watches are very old, they do have a lot of defects but this is to be expected due to their again. Remember these watches are 40 years old, so their condition is fair to say the least. I bought these watches around 5 years ago and they were very cheap but had parts missing. The prices of these watches are now starting to appreciate due to the rarity. I rarely wear them, therefore I do a check every now and again to see how the batteries ar
