Above is a picture of my well used and beloved Casio A-210. I have owned the watch from brand new and purchased it in early 1999. At 23 years old, it still does what it was designed to do with all those years ago. As you can see it has the blue "Illuminator" back light that still works well and the big "light" button on the front of the watch. The watch has seen some hard times and has the scars to prove, yet it is still fully functional. As well as having a 30 name and number directory, the watch has many other functions that I will fully explain as we move on.


As you can see from the above pictures, the LCD display is very clear with no dead segments. This is very important for the various other functions of this great watch. Equipped with a 30 name and number telephone memory (remember this was on the brink of everyone owning a mobile phone, never mind a smart phone), stop watch, alarms and a massive light button at the front. This watch was clearly ahead of it's time. As I said, I have owned this watch from new and I used it every day, not just in the office but also playing keyboard at gigs and everything in between. After three years of constant service, part of the case snapped off the watch. This resulted with the strap spring pin falling out and releasing the strap from the watch and my wrist. I did lose the upper part of the strap in the process, but at least I found the module! 


I do, still to this day love this watch and I would advise any Casio collector to own one and use it. I am looking to find a replacement case and strap asap. However, they will be hard so please stay tuned for my findings.

If you have read the post I wrote about watches that I am always searching for, you may know I have had the Casio AB-500 data bank on my want list for many years. There are some examples still around and for sale. However, they are normally very expensive and in very poor condition as you could image a 30 years plus Casio watch would be.  Therefore an AB-500 in excellent condition will command a price tag of around £500.   Is it worth that kind of money, well, it may be worth that to an avid collector and I have witnessed such purchases. Casio Watches I Would Love to Own Hello Casio owners and lovers from around the world. I hope you are all well. 12/4/2023 As the title suggest, this is a list of Casio watches I would love to add to my humble collection. Some are vintage watches, whilst some of them may be recent.
