Casio LF-20W-8A2DF Retro Digital Watch (Module 3551)

Hello Casio enthusiasts from around the World. I hope you are all well.
As the title suggests, this post will be about the new Casio LF-20W. I say the watch is new but it was released in June or July of this year and since it's release, has been out of stock with all UK suppliers. However, these watches have ended up for sale on EBay and other sites for twice the amount of the RRP (recommended retailers price). The RRP in the UK is £29.95, yet profiteers are asking £60.00 plus delivery of the watch, which I was not willing to pay. The watch was available at the correct price from the USA but, import duty and delivery were another £45.00 and I am not willing to pay that either. So after a lot of searching and waiting, I finally found an example of the watch at the correct price and I have ordered it. The watch cost me £30 plus £2.95 for delivery and I am very excited. I originally wanted the black version, but the only had the grey version in stock. As long as it's not a coloured version I am happy. The watch is also available in black, wine red, olive and white.
Whilst I was looking for this watch, the RRP in Australia is 99.00 Dollars. Wow, what a high price.
The above picture is not the actual watch, but it is the same version I have ordered. The last five digits of the watch model determines it's colour. The above watch was not destined for Europe/UK, as it would have an EU marking and not the DI marking on the tag above. The watch is a genuine Casio, just not for sale in the UK. These watches with the DI marker normally don't come with an official Casio box and can be in a plain box.
The watch has a very unique look about it, what with the LCD hands and LCD numbers making the display a very easy to read timepiece. Apparently the watch is partly made from recycled plastic but how much material was recycled is not available. I hope it is not biodegradable.
The more time I look at the grey colour, the more I like it but I still want a black version of the watch.
I look forward to you joining me for the conclusion of this post.
Small update 5/10/23 @ 18:35hrs. I was just telling a friend about the purchase of this watch and he went to buy one. They are all out of stock!

Last night after discovering the supplier was out of stock with this watch, I had little hope the watch would arrive in 24 hours after ordering. However I was amazed when it arrived this morning less than 24 hours after ordering it. I am so impressed with the company I bought it from, I will share a 5% new customer discount voucher with you all and leave a link for their website below. May I state, I do not have an affiliate with this company, I am simply sharing a discount and experience with the company.
In the picture above you can see the 5% discount voucher I received with my LF-20W. It only applies to new customers. It can be redeemed by either, scanning the code above or, use the code NEW5 when making a purchase.
If you follow the link below, you will get a 10% discount for your first order.
As you can see, the watch is supplied in a clear plastic display case and not the usual European/UK cardboard box. Before I remove the watch from the case I know it wasn't supposed to sold in the UK. I believe it will be indicated with a DI marker, which is not the end of the world. To be fair, they may all be marked with a DI indicator.
With the watch and case removed from the outer packaging, it's looking good!! Again, this packaging is something I am new to as a seasoned Casio lover. The manual supplied was separate from the case in the initial package. Let us move on.
A picture of the tag that came with the watch that indeed show this watch is marked as a DI unit. The tag also shows the full code of the watch, the module number and it's destination (DI). As I have previously stated, this is not a problem as the watches are Genuine and are identical, physically and functionally.
A look at the back of the watch shows the model number, module number and the water resist logo. However, I would not test the water resistance of the watch as it will simply be "SPLASH PROOF" and not truly water tight like a G-Shock! I may be resistant to water in a shower, but not much more.
Above is a picture of the the display of the watch and it looks awesome. It has a very clear display and is ultra light. The backlight has a warm orange glow and makes the display very visible in poor light conditions. It is super comfortable on the wrist, making it feel like I'm not wearing it as it is so light weight.
The green arrow in the above picture, is pointing to the "WR" sign which means it is water resistant. Believe me, it is only shower proof. Therefore, I advise you not to submerge this watch in water as it will fail eventually. Remember, this is not a G-Shock and it was only £30.00.
A final picture of the watch in it's (cracked) case and a thankyou to
for supplying my watch at the correct price and their (less) than 24 hour delivery.
I will be updating this post very soon with the functions and how to program the watch so please stay tuned.
Take care for now guy's!!
